TWO REASONS WHY YOU NEED GOD IN YOUR LIFE- – TODAY!
1. If you were to die today – right now – do you know for sure that you would go to heaven?
We tend to think that the end of our lives is way out in the future somewhere. But is it? The truth is, there are no guarantees in this life. Whether or not there is a God, a place called heaven, or hell, are very important questions we can’t afford to put off until tomorrow. We may not have tomorrow.
2. If you don’t have a relationship with God, you are missing out on the very reason and purpose for which you were created.
Jesus said that He came so that we might have “abundant life.” (John 10;10) Are you experiencing abundant life?
Proverbs 4:18 says that “the path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.” Is your life getting better, and brighter?
And Romans 8:28 says that “in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him.” Are your problems working out for the good, or do you just seem to go from one frustration to the next, with little or no hope?
Not only is it God’s desire for every person He has created to be saved and go to heaven, but I believe He also wants each of us to experience meaning, purpose, and joy today as well. Without a relationship with God, through the Lord Jesus Christ, life makes no sense. But with it, the pieces of your life will begin to fit together. You were created for a reason, and as you walk with the Lord, you will discover an inner peace like nothing you have ever known, as His plan for your life begins to unfold.
So how does a person come to know God? Simply by praying to Him and repenting of his sin and accepting the love, forgiveness, and eternal life that God offers to us through faith in what His Son Jesus did on the cross. If you’re ready, you can pray right now. As you do, the Holy Spirit will begin to cleanse your heart and make you into the person you were meant to be.
“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will be given the gift of the Holy Spirit. ” Acts 2:”38
“Now is the accepted time, today is the day of salvation.”
II Corinthians 6:2
“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man that takes refuge in Him.” Psalms 34:8
