THE SPIRITUAL WAR
“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then, face to face; now I know in part, but then shall I know even as also I am known.” I Corinthians 13:12 (In reality there are two separate worlds in view. The spiritual world and the natural world. Eternity and time. Christians can see, by the Spirit, into the spiritual world, but only in part.)
When you are in a Real Battle, you need Real Warriors — those who are familiar with the Battle Plan. They know it because they have studied it. Their ears are open, and they are listening, and focused on hearing the commands of the Supreme Commander. They are committed, no matter the cost.
God is looking for Real Warriors. Those who will read His Word, pray, listen for His voice and be committed to Him, instead of always being focused on this world and the comforts and pleasures it offers.
Today, God is calling His children to come off the sidelines and into the Battle. The enemy is also enlisting soldiers, because he knows his time is short. More and more these days, you can sense in this world, a “push” away from God, and His Word, and a traditional Christian perspective.
I believe there is a day coming, maybe even in the not-too-distant future, where people in this world will be forced to either stand against God or face the consequences. (This has already been happening in many foreign countries for quite some time)
We are heading for all-out spiritual war. There will be pain. There will be a cost involved in serving Christ, like we in America have never known before. We need to get off the fence. The only question is – which side will you, or I, come down on?
Let me be clear about 2 things:
1 – I need this warning as much as anyone. I have been in the habit, my entire life, of always keeping in view the comforts and pleasures of this world. But this message is not popular, and not one you hear very often these days in this nation – so someone has to say it.
2 – I am not pointing my finger at anyone in particular – God only knows where each person’s heart is. Right now you can get away with “claiming” to have faith in God, the Bible, etc., while you are really more concerned and caught up in the trappings of this world. But a day may soon be coming when you will be forced to ditch God altogether, or else.
There is a group out there – I don’t know who exactly they are, their names or whatever – but they are there. And “they” have a vision, and are excited about something “new” that is happening, or will soon be happening. And this something about which “they” are excited has nothing to do with God – its “new”, or so they think.
Mama Cass sang about it -“There’s a new world coming, and its just around the bend, there’s a new world coming, this one’s coming to an end.” There is a group of people that WANT the old things to be gone. New is in, old is out. New is good, old is bad. The 5th Dimension once sang about “the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.”
I believe we will soon find out just how committed we are to God. Scripture talks about God’s people “loving not their lives unto death.” Ask Christians in North Korea, Nigeria, Iran, etc., etc., etc, if they could tell us what that’s all about.
There is a spirit in this world that doesn’t like The Pledge of Allegiance, especially the part, “under God.” The same spirit wants to take Jesus completely out of Christmas – Santa Claus is fine.
One day we may well get a “new” pledge,” to the “New” World Order, and it will be quite different, and you will recite it, or else!
Some say, “No, God won’t let His people suffer wrath like that.” But God has not promised we will not face the devil’s wrath, just His. Many Christians in foreign countries today are facing Satan’s wrath, but the US has been providentially protected because of the faith of our founding fathers. But God’s Word proclaims that God will bring disaster on nations that reject Him (Jeremiah 12:17).
Our nation has faced many hard things this past decade or so. What is ahead for us? All I know is that it is time to prepare for battle – its time to strap on the armor of God!
“And do this understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.” (Romans 13:11-13)
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” (Ephesians 6:10-13, read also verses 14-18)
