Einstein was right!  Everything IS relative - but relative to what?

Everything in life relates to who God is, who we are, and what is "really" going on in this world.  That is why Jesus was always telling stories.  Stories, or parables, help us make sense of our lives.

This world can be a depressing place at times.  But it is depressing for a reason.  This world is depressed because it keeps forgetting God.  It has happened many times before and it is happening again today.  And whenever we forget God,  it  causes  problems.

Without God, there is  no hope.  Without God, this world is ALL there is and we are just here for as long as we can stay alive, grasping for whatever we can get hold of.

But with God, this world is only a temporary stop-over.  When we leave here we know we are going to be with God in a place that is perfect, painless, and beautiful in every way.

With God, or without Him -  the contrast is Priceless!  You don't want to be without God, not in this world and  especially  not in the next.

This world has problems because it is flawed.  There will be no flaws in heaven.  This world is full of sins like pride, greed, lust,  and envy.  None of these will exist in heaven.  Jesus has promised that all things will be new.

If you feel hopeless, it may be because you don't have God in your life, and in your heart.  God doesn't want you to be without hope.  He says in His Word that there is a hope and a future for the people of God   (see Jeremiah 29:11-13 and Psalm 37:37).  This world is NOT all there is!

You and I have a choice to make.  Are we going to choose God and be prepared for whatever happens?  The Scripture  says this world is headed for a train-wreck.  We see glimpses of it more and more each day.  But it will get worse.  Are you ready?  It could get really bad, but it will only last for a very short time compared to eternity.  If you are trusting in Christ to get you through, I guarantee you will make it - and it will all be worth it!

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. "                Jeremiah 29:11-13
